Hulk was first added into the Superheroes Unlimited in version 1.3. However, Banner and Hulk were also co-founders of various teams, including the Avengers and the Defenders. The creature could also be used by some villains to achieve various ends, due to his lack of intelligence. The Hulk would also become focus or enemy of various others, including the mentally powerful Leader, spy turned gamma monster Abomination, incontrollable beast Wendigo, and the material replicating Absorbing Man. Eventually, he decided to use it to fight threats that one could not handle alone, ranging from alien invasions to other "Hulks". However, when under stress or anger, he would transform into the creature, who was nicknamed by bystanders as "the Hulk".ĭuring his time on the run, Banner would attempt to find ways of controlling or suppressing his transformations into the Hulk, attempting various methods. Knowing that he was the creature responsible, Banner went on the run, chased by General Thaddeus Ross and the military. Escaping the premises and attacking the military, the creature was chased through the desert before reverting back to Banner.
However, during an argument, he transformed into a large green creature with incredible strength and limited intelligence. Unable to escape in time, Banner threw himself between the civilian and the bomb to protect them from the Gamma rays.ĭespite the odds, Bruce survived and was seemingly unharmed by the Gamma Rays. During testing, Banner saw a bystander wonder onto the test site and attempted to rescue them before detonation. Specializing in Gamma Radiation, he was commissioned by the government to create a new bomb that used it.
